biography

I founded my company while studying at Keio University at the age of 19, and I am now in my 22nd year of running it. I completed AI-related programs at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo (GCI) and at MIT Sloan School of Management. I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Tokyo University of the Arts, specializing in Advanced Art Expression.
I have invented 20 AI-related patents across Japan, the United States, China, and Hong Kong. With a deep understanding of AI’s internal structures from an engineer’s perspective, I deliberately hack, subvert, and highlight its errors and glitches in order to illuminate the existence of marginalized communities at risk of erasure.
In Yamagata Prefecture’s Nishikawa Town, for example, I collaborated on a project to train AI on endangered local dialects. Through the fusion of media technology and conceptual methodologies, I strive to deconstruct the common binary opposition of “human versus AI” and explore new ways of coexisting.
